Get the HairAide App — See Any Hairstyle on Your Own Selfie

Every hairstyle you’ve ever half-considered, on your own face, in
about fifteen seconds. HairAide is now an app — free to try, no sign-up.

Before and after: a woman with box braids and a man with a high top fade, each shown split down the middle

Your first 3 try-ons are free. No account, no card. Credit packs
from $0.99 if you get hooked — and they work on the website too.

How it works

  1. Add a selfie. Snap one or pick a photo you already like.
    Front-facing, hair visible, nothing fancy.
  2. Pick a look. Browse 98 styles as real pictures — or type what
you want: “copper balayage with curtain bangs” works.
  3. See yourself. Drag the before/after slider, save it, or send it
    straight to your stylist.

Three HairAide app screens: a before and after result, the visual style picker, and four looks compared side by side

What’s actually different in the app

You pick from pictures

Every one of the 98 styles shows a real preview, so you’re not choosing from
a list of names you have to imagine.

Your looks are saved

Every try-on stays in the app. Come back to it, re-share it, or line four up
side by side and decide properly.

Search the way you talk

“Fringe”, “balayage”, “grey blending” — and a women/men filter, because a
taper fade and a bridal updo aren’t the same shortlist.

Built for the salon chair

Save the result to your camera roll or send a link. Your stylist sees exactly
what you mean, with no app to install.

Questions people ask

Is it really free?

The first 3 try-ons are free and need no account. After that, credit packs start
at $0.99 — there’s no subscription, and credits don’t expire.

What happens to my photo?

It’s used for one thing: making the preview you asked for. No face recognition,
no face templates, nothing sold. Photos and results are deleted from our servers
within 90 days, and you can ask us to delete them sooner.
Full policy.

Does it work on men’s hair?

Yes — there are dedicated Men’s Cuts and Men’s Fades sections (tapers, crops,
mullets, comma hair), and the filter switches the whole grid over.

Do I need the app, or can I use the website?

The web try-on still works. The app adds
the visual picker, saved looks and side-by-side compare — and your credits carry
across both, because they follow your email address.
